Name: Proximity to Sensitive Uses (Industrial Parcels)
Display Field: AIN
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: Series of layers that analyze parcels within Green Zones Districts for their zoning and proximity to Sensitive Uses (500' buffer). This relates to Help Desk ticket #449843. The parcels were extracted on 10/12/21. These parcels were cleaned up for empty APNs and Assessor errors, along with 'condos' being identified (stacked parcels). Additional analysis that pertained to the Help Desk ticket was done that are reflected in the following fields:Duplicate Parcel - Indicates whether this is a 'stacked duplicate' parcel that the Assessor frequently uses to delineate a condominium property.Within 500' of Sensitive Use? (YES/NO) - This was the result of a model output that combined all the Sensitive Uses and buffered them on 9/29/21 (this was done specifically for the Industrial Hemp project, but it applies here as well).Sensitive Uses (YES/NO) - if there is a sensitive use within a parcel, this was flagged. Since there are many layers of sensitive uses, the model output mentioned above was used with a definition query on 0 feet as it made the select by location easier. A -5 foot buffer was used to select and flag these parcels. In some cases, the sensitive use was a buffered point, or it may have only covered part of a parcel.Commercial Zone? (YES/NO) - if there are specific Commercial Zones (C-1, C-2, C-3, C-H, C-M) then they are coded as a "YES' in this column. This was done through a relate with the 'intersected' version of this layer. This was used to help generate the summary counts of unique parcels within commercial zones. Note that the commercial zones C-R and CPD are lumped into the 'All Other Zones' category as they are not relevant for the Green Zones Ordinance. Also, if both a Commercial Zone and Industrial Zone are coded "YES", then that overlap counts in favor of Industrial Zones.Industrial Zone? (YES/NO) - if there are any Industrial Zones on the parcel, they are flagged with a 'YES'. This was done through a relate with the 'intersected' version of this layer. All Other Zones? (YES/NO) - if there are any other zones on the parcel (including the commercial CPD and C-R zones), they are flagged with a 'YES'. This was done through a relate with the 'intersected' version of this layer. Sensitive Use Adjacent to Industrial Zone? (YES/NO) - this was done by selecting any sensitive use that are within 25' of an industrial zone. Rationale behind considering 25' adjacent is that sometimes a residential use is only separated from an industrial use by an alleyway, which is typically 15-20' wide.Planning Areas - From the General Plan - used for summarizing for the EIR.UPDATE HISTORY:11/3/21 - removed CPD and C-R from "Commercial Zone" group, and added Planning Areas.12/14/21 - exported to DRP SDE for use in Map Service (no data updates).
Description: This is the outline of LA County to be used for cartographic purposes. There is a "LINE TYPE" field that can be used to symbolize thick lines for the majority of the county outline, then thin lines for the complex areas like Los Angeles / Long Beach Harbor. Updated 1/9/13 to include Los Angeles / Long Beach Harbor area adjustment (DPW linework)
Description: Every ten years, the United States attempts to count every person in the country through a process called the Decennial Census. It is mandated by Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution. The latest Census was conducted on April 1, 2010, and provides a snapshot of how many people there are and where they live.Once we know how many people there are and where they live in the County of Los Angeles, the population must be divided as evenly as possible into five supervisorial districts for the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors. Adjusting the boundaries is called “redistricting.”Per California Election Code Section 21500, et seq., the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is required to adjust the boundaries of any or all of the supervisorial districts following each decennial federal census to ensure fair representation. Adjustments to the boundaries are made to ensure that districts are made to be “as nearly equal in population as may be.”Adopted 9/27/11, effective 10/27/11.NOTE: Updated on 1/15/15 to match the layer on eGIS SDE database (with the exception of the LB / San Pedro ports). Original layer DRP had was less accurate as far as lining up with city boundaries - this was exported to 'GEODATABASES/admin_dist' database on 1/14/15.
Description: From the CalEPA website:"The provisions in Government Code Section 65962.5 are commonly referred to as the “Cortese List” (after the Legislator who authored the legislation that enacted it). The list, or a site’s presence on the list, has bearing on the local permitting process as well as on compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Because this statute was enacted over twenty years ago, some of the provisions refer to agency activities that were conducted many years ago and are no longer being implemented and, in some cases, the information to be included in the Cortese List does not exist."This layer was merged together from existing datasets as they are listed on the Cortese webpage (click here). This layer is presented "as is" and may have some geocoding errors in it due to errors in the source tables (a QC_STATUS field has been created to manage 'ad hoc' updates). Source tables (with detailed 'README' tabs) and layers can be found here: ..\OUTSIDE_ENTITIES\Other_Agencies\Cal_EPA\Cortese_List

Description: This is the working version of SCAG's 2016 general plan dataset, updated as of August 20, 2017. The dataset is parcel-based and will be reviewed by local jurisdiction staffs during the SCAG's Local Input Process.Note:Differences between the total number of parcels in this dataset and the assessor’s parcels 2012 dataset are due to local input during which, SCAG made edits on some parcel boundaries. Parcels were edited based on local jurisdictions' comments (regarding parcel subdivision) and only after jurisdictions provided SCAG with official parcel subdivision records that show such parcel subdivisions happened in or before 2012.2016 SCAG General Plan Land Use Codes - LegendLegendLand Use Description Single Family Residential1110 Single Family ResidentialMulti-Family Residential1120 Multi-Family ResidentialMobile Homes and Trailer Parks1130 Mobile Homes and Trailer ParksMixed Residential 1140 Mixed Residential1100 ResidentialRural Residential 1150 Rural ResidentialGeneral Office1210 General Office UseCommercial and Services1200 General Commercial1220 Retail and Commercial and Services1221 Regional Shopping Center1230 Other Commercial1233 Hotels and MotelsFacilities1240 Public Facilities1250 Special Use FacilitiesEducation1260 Education –K-121265 Education –CollegeMilitary Installations1270 Military InstallationsIndustrial1300 General Industrial1310 Light Industrial1311 Light Manufacturing, Assembly, and Industrial Services1320 Heavy Industrial1321 Heavy Manufacturing1340 Wholesaling and WarehousingTransportation, Communications, and Utilities1400 Transportation, Communications, and Utilities1410 Transportation1420 Communication Facilities1430 Utility FacilitiesMixed Commercial and Industrial1500 Mixed Commercial and IndustrialMixed Residential and Commercial1600 Mixed Residential and Commercial1610 Residential-Oriented Residential/Commercial Mixed Use1620 Commercial-Oriented Residential/Commercial Mixed UseOpen Space and Recreation1800 Open Space and Recreation1810 Golf Courses1820 Local Parks and Recreation1830 State and National Parks and Recreation1840 Cemeteries1850 Wildlife Preserves and Sanctuaries1860 Specimen Gardens and Arboreta1870 Beach Parks1880 Other Open Space and RecreationVacant1900 Urban Vacant3000 VacantAgriculture2000 AgricultureWater4000 WaterSpecific Plan7777 Specific PlanUndevelopable or Protected Land8888 Undevelopable or Protected LandUnknown9999 Unknown

Description: This is a layer of Resdiential uses was extracted from the Assessor parcels for UseType = 'Residential' - vacant parcels were excluded. It was then dissolved to form the block faces; the 'create multi-part polygons' was not checked. Also, there are no additional attribute information, just blocks.Next Steps2/8/17 - Possibly this should be a query view and not an actual layer that has to be periodically extracted (like what Tom did with the County Owned parcels)Update History:2/7/17 - extracted Residential uses from parcel base and dissolved.12/3/18 - extracted Residential uses from parcels that were current as of 11/28/18. In this query, vacant parcels were notincluded (UseType = 'Residential' AND UseCode NOT LIKE '%V')
