Layer: Cal EPA - Cortese List (ID: 213)

Parent Layer: Other Agencies

Name: Cal EPA - Cortese List

Display Field: GIS_SITE_NAME

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint

Description: From the CalEPA website:"The provisions in Government Code Section 65962.5 are commonly referred to as the “Cortese List” (after the Legislator who authored the legislation that enacted it). The list, or a site’s presence on the list, has bearing on the local permitting process as well as on compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Because this statute was enacted over twenty years ago, some of the provisions refer to agency activities that were conducted many years ago and are no longer being implemented and, in some cases, the information to be included in the Cortese List does not exist."This layer was merged together from existing datasets as they are listed on the Cortese webpage (click here). This layer is presented "as is" and may have some geocoding errors in it due to errors in the source tables (a QC_STATUS field has been created to manage 'ad hoc' updates). Source tables (with detailed 'README' tabs) and layers can be found here: ..\OUTSIDE_ENTITIES\Other_Agencies\Cal_EPA\Cortese_List
